Goal Setting and Self Confidence - What about YOU ?

Goals are the most effective factor in building your self confidence. You may notice some people around you who think that they are not capable to achieve their own goals because they feel that this is more "secure" not to achieve their goals. This kind of people is living in the "Comfort Zone" which is a big self image stored inside our brains. It shows us how we look like in front of ourselves. When we are about to change a habit -for example- we can't change it correctly if we did not change it inside our brains first.

Tip:
In order to achieve a positive change in your life you must perform it in your brain then start to make it happen in
reality.( I will discuss How to do that later).

Now, Think About This Situation:

You wake up in the morning and you got nothing to achieve because   you have achieved everything you wanted you're going to live the same life with no changes at all for the rest of your life.

What you think?  The idea is boring isn't it?

So, I would like you to be sure that negative way of thinking does not help your confidence or self-esteem. On the contrary, it destroys every attempt to feel good about yourself.

The best solution is to find something you would love to do and you're willing to strive for, your life finds a meaning and your effort to work on your self confidence finds a good friend; your positive attitude!

Tip
Find yourself a goal to accomplish and it doesn't have to be a BIG one. This will help you ride the bicycle of Self Confidence.

Let me ask you something: Is this enough?
We will find out in the next few lines so, keep reading.

To ensure your goal's success and get a positive outcome, since your goal
in having a goal, at this stage, is to experience success as a method to
increase your confidence's level, you should have in mind that your goal
should have the three following characteristics:

  •  Your goal must be measurable: For example, if your goal is just to lose weight, then you cannot define when you will have reached this goal because you haven't set from the beginning how many pounds you want to lose. So, doesn't the phrase "I want to lose 4 pounds" seem specific enough for you to know if you have achieved your goal?
  •   Your goal must be time-specific: This will keep you motivated and also will help you stay on track, knowing not only where you want to go, but also, in how much time you want to go there.
  • Be feasible. Set a goal that can be achieved and is based on your life's conditions right now, at least for the time being. It's wonderful to set a goal to travel to the moon but maybe it's a better idea, for the moment, to set as a goal to travel to a country you always wanted to visit and leave the travel to the moon for another time! The important now is to give yourself the pleasure to experience the journey towards achieving a goal. To get on the dance floor again and start dancing.

Final Note: It's very important to apply what you read here in order to see results more quickly. If you have any notes or comments you are always welcome as your comments are the fuel who makes me able to write more and more.

Sincerely,
